A huge congratulations to Zara who recently won three gold medals in the first National Rhythmic Down’s Syndrome Championships which were held at New College, Leicester. Zara represented the City of Birmingham taking individual medals in Ball, Ribbon and Hoop.
As a result of Zara’s win she has been invited to Atlanta next April to compete in the National Disabilities Display Team which would then give her the possibility of extensive world travel opportunities with the team.
Excellence seems to runs in the family; her eldest sister Naomi was part of the National Junior and Senior Rhythmic Championship winning Team from the City of Birmingham in 2009 and 2010 respectively and Mum, Lisa, is the Head Rhythmic Coach at the City of Birmingham. Well done Zara!
