Taeja started her competition season at the Alpha Factor UK invitational, held at the Wiltshire School of Gymnastics saturday on 8th September 2012. Fifteen competitors took part in the Level 3 10 year old category. Taeja finished 2nd overall with a score of 48.00pts, she was the highest scorer on Beam with 13.7pts and also received a Gold certificate for having low deductions on Bars.

Taeja’s Floor routine saw some errors with a poorly executed first tumble; she did however fight back and compete her tucked Tsukahara for the first time, all of which lead to her creditable silver medal finish.

Coach Jodie Kime was pleased with the result as Taeja was able to try out certain new skills on her apparatus prior to the West Midlands regional championships on 22nd September.

An excellent season debut, well done.
