Both Elite and Development Squad Gymnasts from the City of Birmingham Gymnastics Club competed over the weekend of 22nd/23rd October in the West Midlands Team Tumbling Championships 2011 which were held at Wood Green Sports College, Wednesbury. It was a fantastic competition with 13 gymnasts representing the City of Birmingham Tumbling Squad, 8 of which were part of the newly formed Development Squad in their first competition with CBGC. The gymnasts showed class and composure and secured excellent team and Individual medal positions.

In the 11/12/13 boys category Jaydon Paddock was rewarded for his twisting runs and won the 8/9/10 boys age group by 5 clear points; Kayleigh Peakman and Louisa Maher showed great team rivalry to fight for Gold medal place in the 11/12/13 girls age group, with a difference of 0.65, Kayleigh narrowly took the title after landing her double tuck back in her somersault run, Louisa secured a well-deserved 2nd place whilst younger sister Francesca completed the podium line up by gaining 3rd position.

Team Gold Medals were rewarded to:
Jaydon Paddock, Kyle Davis and Keauna James in the 11/12/13 years age group leading their nearest rivals by a clear 8 points.
