Congratulations to all team members for retaining their Sainsbury’s School Games championships status at the Ice Sheffield arena on Saturday 14th September. England battled it out against home nations rivals Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland to take a decisive 19.00pts and gold medalling lead over their nearest rivals Scotland. Birmingham displayed an integral presence through its provision of three of the six team members, Hamish Carter, Joe Fraser & Josh Nathan. All around medals were achieved by CBGC’s Joe (silver medal) and Hamish (Bronze medal), a commendable fifth place was achieved by Josh.

The second and final day of the event saw the Individual apparatus Championship medals being contested; the City of Birmingham trio of nd definitely made their presence known:

Pommel Horse – Hamish Carter, Champion; Joe Fraser – Silver medalist
Rings – Joe Fraser, Champion
Parallel Bars – Josh Nathan, Champion; Joe Fraser – Bronze medalist
